A resource guide for students with disabilities transitioning into a community college

Presently there is a need to provide information to incoming students with disabilities about programs, services, and financial aid on community college campuses across California. The purpose of this project is to bring awareness to students regarding services on college campuses, to reduce the lack of access to services, and to address faculty lack of knowledge and understanding of Disabled Student Programs and Services. The included handbook covers different aspects of supports for students related to on-campus resources, resources in the community, online information, and non-profit organizations. All the resources are beneficial to students with disabilities who need to know not only where the services are located but what specific accommodations are provided.
